Thumbs up Re: Hm Fw 190 1/32

I'm with Brunowbe, the 1'32 scale excites me more than 1/48. With Corgi pulling out of this scale it is natural for HM to step in and become the market leader.

I have 2 C1 FW-190's in 1/48 scale & that's enough or me.

The only downsides I can see to 1/32 is display space and unit cost but like me a number of forum members rave about their Mossies, Huricanes, 109's & Spits from Corgi in this scale, so a 190 will be most welcome in my book and i'd buy more than one

Take it out and play with it

Re: Hm Fw 190 1/32

I'll be the lone dissenter. I'm excited that a high quality 1/32 Fw 190 is going to be made. I hoped Corgi would do one, but HM doing one is just as good (maybe better, I've not seen their other 1/32 birds). These will go well with my 1/32 Corgi Bf 109s. If the price is not outrageous, I'll probably get them all. If it's $150.00 like their other 1/32s, one will probably be all. I hope it's an Fw 190 A or G, hopefully NOT A DORA!! I've got a 1/48 Dora which will go well with the HM 1/48 Spit that's on its way, I don't need another one. Just my opinion.

I'd bet my new Grand Slam Lanc that it's not going to be a Dora -- we already have a great option there in 1:48 with C1 and ealier model 190 would probably have wider appeal... so I agree with you on all points. Bring it on! (then a Corsair, please.. pretty please.)

William, please make the Dora so that I can have PappyB's Grand Slam Lanc. Thankyou!

Well, to make it a fair bet you have to put something up too

Re: Hm Fw 190 1/32

I would've rather had it in 1/48 than 1/32 to go with the Spitfire. I think $100-$150 is going to be out of reach of my wallet for something I already have a fine example of in plastic and for much, much less.

Agreed, a 1/48 version would have been very welcome, but I won't be getting any at that scale/price. Too bad.

According to William the model is an FW190-A8, looking forward to it.

...so anyone who is worried that the HM model will duplicate the C1 model in 1/48 scale can rest easy. The Fw-190A is totally different looking than the Fw-190D that C1 produced.

I'm kind of on the fence on this one too, but I'd still get one because I'm a sucker for 1/32nd warbirds!
