Re: HM Interview

Thanks for the link William, I appreciate getting some more insight into what it takes for HM bring us your excellent products! I have a question regarding something that you said in the interview:

"On the other hand, there is a possibility that we could produce civilian aircraft in the not-too-distant future."

What sort of civilian aircraft do you have in mind at this point? I would like to suggest considering "executive class" aircraft as a possibility. This is a huge untapped market, I work in this segment of the industry and I can say that I know many folks that would love to have diecast versions of these aircraft. I for one happily snap up any Dassault Falcon (Falcon 2000EX in particular), Gulfstream, or Citation X you would produce. I suppose there might be a problem with the livery counts, but I just wanted to mention it. Thanks again William!

Re: HM Interview

Great interview and really liked seeing pictures of the assembly line. I can't say enough how much I appreciate how they lend and ear to their customer base.

Re: HM Interview

I believe that a line of Reno Air Racers would be a welcome change. A cross-over from miltary to civilian and, who knows, you might draw in that spend-hungry NASCAR group. But then again...a lot of the racers have modified the airframes of the original, so production may be a bear (even a "Rare Bear").

Re: HM Interview

Not to go too off-topic but if Witty made a few civvie racing versions of their Sea Fury, I'd buy 'em all.

Same for any future releases by Hobby Master - I'm going to be getting their P-39 racer.

Re: HM Interview

can you guys imagine if they just produced 2 civilian aircraft how many thousands would sell there are hundreds of thousands of pilots around the world that would love to own a model of an icon such as

Piper J-3 Cub

Cessna 172 probably the most popular civil single engined planes ever made.

Thanks William for being there for us. We will be there for Hobbymaster you can count on that.

I would be game for a Piper Cub and quite a few of the civil aviation models (Aircoupe, Monocoupe, Stinson Voyager, Stinson Reliant, and a whole bunch more of course none of these would ever get made,,,, but sure would like a Yellow Cub.)

Could get a couple of paint schemes with the Rare Bear.

Re: HM Interview

Due to competitive reasons we prefer not to disclose anything until the actual development of a certain model is started.

Do you know something we don't? At this point, in 1:72, Hobby Master is the only game in town unless Easy Model and IXO are counted as viable alternatives (NOT for me).

Regards,

Sergey

HM Interview with Mr. Liu

Great interview on the Hobby Master Collector with Mr. Liu of HM. Interesting pictures of the manufacturing process, also. Thanks to Mr. Liu for giving his insights, and thanks for passing on his passion for the hobby. (I was surprised to learn that the F-104 was HM's best seller!)
