Re: Hobby Master A-10A to A-10C upgrades!!

See this is why I dont understand why hobby master doesnt keep producing A-10's. Everyone loves A-10's and no one makes A-10's. even the recent poll shows that the A-10 is the most favorite after what? the F-4? go figure! Please william dont close down your A-10 line!!!!! we ant to see some A-10's and you make the best weve ever seen! With some weapons and some modifications your A-10 could be the best of my entire fleet!!!!

The A-10 is a much beloved mode by many collectors.

To be frank though, the sales of the A-10 is fine but not as good as we have thought. Hence, the future development of it will depend on the stock level of our dealers will have.

That's because you have chosin poor subjects, only 3 of the first 6 should have been produced and 2 of them had wonky tails.

Hi,

To be more exact about the A-10, it has been doing very good all over the world in fact. The Mil-Killer and the Bentwaters were sold like crazy. But after these the sales have been slowed down a bit. It seems that some Asian countries can take little it because of the size?

Another thing that our US cleints mentioned to us is that modern jets are often less welcomed for the collectible market. Once I have an idea of making a 1/48 F-16 but the response is negative in USA. It is always some WWII and classic jets that sell the best. In Japan and Asia it is the contrary. In UK and Europe they will take anything nice.

Anyway, HM will make 1 to 2 liveries in 2009 with updated sets (and adjusted landing gears). In the meantime, please kindly support our present A-10s.

William will one of these updated A-10's be a grey ghost scheme or both older green schemes? Possible a DM one? Also, if one is a grey scheme can we expect updated weapons and anntennae?

Have no concrete planning yet. But one green and one grey for 2009 should be a good idea.

Possible. I've been to Japan and the average home/apartment there is absolutely cramped. I guess that's why they like smaller scales like 1/144 and 1/200.

Another thing that our US cleints mentioned to us is that modern jets are often less welcomed for the collectible market. I'd love to get a F-16 from Hobby Master. But not in 1/48 scale (sorry). I'm surprised to hear that US collectors aren't big on modern jets.

Re: Hobby Master A-10A to A-10C upgrades!!

Yes a grey version in 2009 would be amazing. Im going to try to get ahold of the FT sharkmouth hog but no luck yet.... Im also surprised that americans arnt big on modern aircraft. The modern birds have been sorely misrepresented by dragon and witty wings. Although their models are good, their accuracy is often in question, and their customer service is the worst ive ever seen. In any case the F-15E the F-117 the F-22 and the F-16 (I know there are quite a few F-16's out there, the problem is THEY ARE ALL INNACURATE!!!) The block 40's are exactly the same as the block 30's and 50's! its pathetic!

A grey A-10 in 2009? Hopefully it wont take toooo long. However, have you noticed HM has been making the A-10's better already? They have added the small bumps on the outside of the tails, they have also added the yelllow reflectors on the tails and behind the canopy! Hopefully they will add the ones on the end of the wings on the next A-10. did william say it was going to be a Davis Monthan Bird or undecided still?

Re: Hobby Master A-10A to A-10C upgrades!!

Hi William, thanks for all the information and just writing as a member of TMH. Nice having someone on the inside who also rubs elbows with the customers!!

Any chance HM will do a Michigan ANG A-10 (110 FW out of Battle Creek/Kellogg Airport aka the Cereal Killers)? They, along with Boise (Idaho ANG) and Barnes (MA ANG) made up the 104 Expeditionary Fighter Squadron (the Killer Bees) having served in Kosovo, OSW and OIF. The MI ANG Hogs were even shot/hit by missiles in OIF. It'd be nice to have some A-10's that've seen extensive combat.

BTW, the MI ANG were also one of the first units to receive the A-10C's too.

Thanks!

-Trex

I want a Cereal Killers A-10 too. In fact, I have not purchased an A-10 yet because I'm hoping for one. Hey Tex, here is a picture from the Thunder show.
