Any future F4 releases from HM ?

I was just wondering whether HM will release anymore F4 in the near future. There are lots of nice paint schemes for this particular bird and one of which is my favourite which herpa released in a smaller scale. It wouldbe great if HM deicdes to add the " Death Angels " in their future release.

Oh yeah, Tedongganas—I’d absolutely go gah-gah over a Marine F4. Hobby Master’s got a tiger by the tail, and all I can say is, “Hold on!”

If HM does produce a Marine Phantom, I’d love to see them hang 500-lb Snakeye ordinance on it. Lots of it. I’m told that of all the services, Marine pilots hit their targets routinely. Wanna know which service was worst in accuracy? Rhymes with “Air Force.”

Re: Any future F4 releases from HM ?

They haven't announced any except for the Jolly Rogers and the Molders. But with the first two releases selling out in less than a week at many stores I would think that there will be many more phantoms in our future!

Yeah, that's what i like to see Gort, lots of ordnance !! Well, there are many other nice " options " for HM to consider both from the Marines and Navy like the " Ardvark "; " Screaming Eagle ";" Sundowners " and " Red Devils " to name a few .

Re: Any future F4 releases from HM ?

Yep, Rob is right. 1904 and 1905 are the only releases that have been publicly revealed. We are being told those two I just mentioned are due in October. But I expect Hobby Master to keep pumping the F-4s out as every model thus far has been a big seller. I mean look at the A-4. That line hasn't been nearly as popular as the F-4 and they have already released their 9th scheme. For example, we sold out of HA1902 before it was even delivered!

I'm thinking Hobby Master's stock is starting to rise. But I also see collectors becoming more discerning with their purchases as HM releases the amount of models that they do per month. Where as Century Wings takes the approach of 1 or 2 a month, Hobby Master is becoming more like a GeminiJets type model maker with releasing 7 or 8 new models every month. Some releases will be hot, others more available.

Anyways, I'm just glad that there is finally a mid-priced, high quality mass-produced F-4 on the market.

Re: Any future F4 releases from HM ?

If I recall correctly, I believe that a release of a Thunderbirds F-4E and an Israeli F-4E were strongly hinted at, though there has not been an official announcement. There are several USMC F-4J's that could be done. I am sure we will see one or more before HM is finished with the Phantom. Personally, I would like to see a USAF Vietnam era F-4E with the shark-mouth in SEA camouflage. I would also like to see some F-4B's, but as I have indicated before, I suspect that those will come from Century Wings.

For those of us who grew up in the sixties and seventies, and saw F-4's flying almost every day, you simply cannot offer too many diecast Phantoms!
