Good job, Cruve, looks ten times better.

Re: UPS dropped off a Kate today.

My Kate just arrived and, after a bit of weathering, plus some elevation for the crew, it's on its way to Pearl. Great work HM!

Pity the poor Lt. Welch in his FOV P-40B. His is the only 1/72 diecast model in my collection (or that I know of) poised to meet the invading hoard of Kate's and their many, many Zero escorts.

As Hobby Master seems to adopt themes (Pacific Carrier War) and do models nobody else does, a full set of 1/72 scale Pearl Harbor participants might be in order. We would need at least the Val and P-36. And a HM P-40B and P-40C would be nice too.

Re: UPS dropped off a Kate today.

Mine arrived yesterday, accompanied by a Dragon Corsair. Can't wait for the next Japanese releases!

Just ordered mine, can I put a fly in the ointment and say that Corgi makes better stands

HMs stands are OK but a little boring.

HMs stands are OK but a little boring.

And a little flimsy, I'm always seeing my Bf 110 wobble on its stand. One of these days that bugger is going to crash...................................

I hope the stands for HMs 1/48 models are better as one is on its way.

Bland and a bit unstable. My stand was so unstable, I decided to slap the wheels on it and display her without the stand. Dragon's are not so good, either.

Re: UPS dropped off a Kate today.

I have yet to display one of my HM models on its display stand. I was thinking of displaying the Kate on it's stand, have to see if it is sturdy enough (If not, looks good sitting on its gear).

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: UPS dropped off a Kate today.

That's how I can easily spot the HM's in my diecast collection -- when I slide open my curio door, they start doing their dance.

Hoping the Kate will have a more solid stand.

Yes, I agree with you it is a bit boring and sometimes too flimsy (for bigger aircrafts).

A topic worth elaborating.

Re: UPS dropped off a Kate today.

I must say I love this little plane. Worth every penny. Thought I was missing the bomb but it was with the stand.
Perfect HM! Now bring on the others to replace IXO.
