I just checked the Flying Mule and they took off the Kate that was expected this month. now they just have the one expected in July an October. Why did they do that?

It looks like they are available at Pete's Collectibles.

Re: Flying Mule took off Kate

I received an email (from a different vendor) saying that HM didn't make enough. See below:

For our warbird collectors: The hobby master sales have been amazing and there are some production level problems. On the first Japanes "Kate" HA2001 this model was under produced and we did not get as many as we had preorders for even though we had ordered well above expectations. We have notified customers for whom we could not fill this order and we do apologize for the inconvenience. Hobby Master is relatively new as a company and is still working out supply amounts.

Re: Flying Mule took off Kate

So I guess the flying mule didn't order enough to meet the demand, well that sucks.

Re: Flying Mule took off Kate

Actually HM didn't meet the demand It seems most vendors have enough for pre-orders only.

Re: Flying Mule took off Kate

Glad I came across this thread, as I totally forgot the Kate was coming out. Picked this one and a Dragon Corsair up online within the last few minutes.

Look on the bright side, if HM are selling so well then they will willing to keep on pushing out new molds.

Its all good news, we just need to be patient, excruciating isn't it, we all want em now.

God Bless America.

Re: Flying Mule took off Kate

The "Mule" filled all their pre-order availablity and is not certain they can get any additional models from HM. That is the story I got.

I asked why they did not show the Kate as a back ordered item and again this is the story I got.

The Kate must really be a hot item but I did pre-order the 2nd Kate. I'm not certain about the 3rd Kate; what will be that different about the scheme?

I obtained the first Kate from Pete's Models in Houston; great guy to work with.

Re: Flying Mule took off Kate

Glad I put this one on pre order with Pete's Collectibles. Just made a quick call to verify the pre order though, and he said mine should be going out sometime today. He said he had quite a few of the Kates and they looked great. He also said they came with three figures, which should make some folks happy.
