Suggested schemes for HM Fw-190A8?

Here are some suggested schemes for Hobbymaster if they come out with a Fw-190A8 in either 1/32 or 1/48.

Nice schemes JP, the only problem is that 3 of those 4 schemes are for A-6/A-7's, not A8's.
Only "Black 13" is an A-8 and it is actually a Rammjager R-8.

This is a problem with the Fw-190A because the A-6, A-7, A-8 and other late variants are so similar, only minor differences set them apart and most people can't tell just by looking. My general rule is that if it has a brightly painted cowl (Checkerboard, stripes etc.) it is most likely an A-6 or A-7 because German pilots did not want to be mistaken for their Allied counterparts flying brightly decorated Tbolts.

Re: Suggested schemes for HM Fw-190A8?

When i was checking for these it said they are FW190A8....But like you say most people can't tell them apart..
Now i learned something new today....Have you notice so many German fighters have a Yellow bottom panel.
Why is that ? For AA gunners ?
Thanks for the Tip.

No prob, I just noticed that the 3rd plane (Hackls) I had posted was an A-6. Doh!!!!!! It is easy to do and if HM takes on this task, they will have to research very carefully to get the right schemes with the right variants.

What are the major visible differences between the airframes?

Re: Suggested schemes for HM Fw-190A8?

I really don't care what numeral the suffix is - as long as it's a 1/32 FW190A I'll be happy .
