Re: 1/72 plane Wishes for HM

OK, excluding the Val as already being in the works, the A-1 Skyraider as already being in the works at Gemini Aces and the Ki-61 Tony as already being a likely candidate (William has mentioned he likes this plane), here are my top five, in no particular order:

MC.202 Folgore
MC.200 Saetta
IL-2
MiG-3
Hawker Tempest

Oh, and William: Please produce a line of Schneider Trophy-winning seaplanes. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease. I'll be your best friend...

Wow! It never occurred to me, but that would be a GREAT idea. I would be all over some pre-WWII race planes, seaplanes or not! Really a great idea IMHO, Folgore. I suppose it wouldn't be all that feasible considering the narrow livery choices, but still a great thought nonetheless. Maybe a series of very limited editions...

Thanks, ac4313! I agree: the limited range of liveries is kind of a buzz-kill. On the plus side, though, I think these models would appeal to more guys than just diecast airplane collectors. They're such snazzy, classic aircraft I think the kind of guy who displays one nice model race car or mahogany airplane as an office or den accent would be interested, as would anyone with an interest in racing generally.

And don't think I haven't already mentioned this to William. It's a long shot but, hey, ya never know.

I would go for a race seaplane.
