UH-1B Huey "Heavy Hog"

I'll readily admit that when these arrived, I "flew" my display model around the store humming "Ride of the Valkyries" at the top of my lungs. Fortunately, no customers walked in on me while I was doing this .

Neat looking Huey, hope they do a Medivac version.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

B model Dustoff ships were pretty rare (but did exist). Better to wait for a D/H for those.

Re: UH-1B Huey "Heavy Hog"

Just picked mine up today. It's really a nice model. Only wish the passenger doors opened and closed!

Re: UH-1B Huey "Heavy Hog"

Off topic diecast wise but did anyone notice R. Lee Ermy's (Military Channels Mail Call) brief cameo in that scene as a OH-6 pilot.

Re: UH-1B Huey "Heavy Hog"

Mine arrives soon.
I'm really impressed by the amount of detail put on it at that scale.

Re: UH-1B Huey "Heavy Hog"

I stopped in at Skidmarks (store front) this afternoon. This Helicopter looked GREAT! (Keep repeating to myself "I don't collect Helicopters. I don't collect helicopters. I DON'T collect...")

I did not pick it up - Hey I have to set some limits. However - IT IS A GREAT LOOKING MODEL.

(I did walk out with a "Lady Jessie" A-4 and a Guadalcanal P-39/400 - so it was a good diecast day.)

It sure looks like Ermy.

I got one of these Huey's for my Uncle since he collects these 1:72 scale copters.
