Some suggestions for Navy F-4 schemes

Hi William, I stumbled on a marvelous site which HM might consider as a good source and reference for future Navy F-4 squadron schemes. Hope you'll do some...

Re: Some suggestions for Navy F-4 schemes

For squadrons that have never been done, give me either of the VF-114 Aardvarks (67' 1st, 65' 2nd) or either of the VF-143 Pukin Dogs

I'd also go for any of the Sundowners or Jolly Rogers.

Good find.

Re: Some suggestions for Navy F-4 schemes

Hate to be a party-pooper, but those are all F-4B's, and cannot be done on HM's mold. Not without entirely new wings and landing gear, among other things.

It's kind of like the F-8: Everyone always does the E/J, but the 'good schemes' IMHO are all on the C/D.

For the F-4---it's always the J/S, but the 'good schemes' are on the B/N.

There are of course, some good schemes on the F-8E/J, and F-4J/S, but not nearly as many, and not as famous.

Shame, some really nice looking paint schemes. (Time for another mold?)

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

I kind of expect Century to come out with an F-4B/N.

Re: Some suggestions for Navy F-4 schemes

I was affraid that would be the case. I am no F-4 expert so I didn't know. Apparently they re-tooled the F9F some, perhaps there's hope yet!

Let's hope CW will make it so.
