Re: tante JU

Yes, that's what I thought as well. I don't know why people aren't taking that into account.

Personally, I'm pretty happy with my FM 1/48 Ju-52. And, I do have a diecast 1/72 C-47, and it IS a Corgi! But from the older school of Corgi diecast, and it hasn't been made in I don't know how many years. It's got D-Day stripes and the detail isn't as fine as modern diecast, but it's fine, even with the painted windows. I wish I could remember where I got it... And I also wonder if it's the same mould Rooffie is referring to (?). Mine's definitely a Corgi, though.

I also have an FM 1/48 C-47 ("Argonia").

Never mind, my C-47 is ERTL indeed. I had to go look at the box in the basement to figure it out. For some reson I thought is was a very old Corgi.

Must be Alzheimer's settling in!

I still think the model is OK. The seems on mine aren't bad at all. An update would be welcome nonetheless...

Re: tante JU

Hey Jim the Tigercat has been brought up before. Why don't you start a thread/poll for it

I have just about given up all hope Planenuts. There just does not seem to be the demand there to persuade anyone to make it.
I think that a 1/72 diecast of the Tigercat would look really awesome on display. A thumping good piece of metal.

I used to watch a real Tigercat at Duxford but sadly it was sold. I miss that beautifull powerfull sleek exciting ...... Ah well thats life.

God Bless America.

Re: tante JU

Oh man, I would love a Tigercat. I think Starman would be in on it as well.

Re: tante JU

Absolutely, a Tigercat would be a must in my collection. I would prefer 1/48, now that would be VERY impressive!

One challenge for any manufacturer will be balancing that aircraft on its tricycle gear, when displayed "on the ground." Not easy to accomplish for an F-7F.
