Re: Hobby Masters future

I would welcome the Hind but not the 'Flying Banana' which to me is just plain ugly & not that significant (possibly showing my ignorance here!!)

Surely there are much more significant helos out there (Sea Knight, Ch-53, Puma, Lynx etc) than this?

Take it out and play with it

H-21 is very significant. It was the predominant lift ship for Algerian Insurgency as well as the first year of American operations in Vietnam. It supported development of the DEW Line and provided SAR coverage to SAC at the height of the Cold War. It's run was short as turbine powered models came of age, but from 1955-1963 it was the most capable helicopter transport in the West. Much of the modern tactical doctrine for helicopter assault operations emerged out of experience with the H-21 in this period.

Re: Hobby Masters future

Couple of neat choices, and really like the flying banana. Wouldn't mind having one of those.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
