P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

I have been getting PM's from a few of you guys about starting the P-61 Poll again...and like i said before i don't think it's going to help much
to do one..Because i don't think there are enough schemes to go around at least thats what we were told anyway.....But i'm not the type person that lets you down...So this one is for all your fourumites that asked me to do it again..So here we go........

Once again i ask the members of this fourm would you still like to see a Limited run 1:72nd scale P-61 Black Widow made ? I love the "Times a Wastin" "Lady in the Dark" and "Spooks" this one was built by Eric Von...Photo was sent to me from a modeler friend of mine who knew i love the P-61's and this one is sweet looking..Better then the one i built.
Have fun with the poll guys it may be our last for this one.

The P-61 saw combat in WWII, so, from my collecting perspective, BRING IT ON!

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

I would like to add one to my collection. Paint scheme I would like to pickup would be the OD version.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

I voted no....sorry, but there are too many other aircraft that I wouldn't mind having that I cannot afford before I would buy the P-61

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

A very important aircraft to the allies. First radar equipped night fighter straight from the factory.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

That's a looker and I'd buy one! Just something about those night fighters that are sex-say!

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

The P-61 is one of my most wanted models. I'd buy at least two.

Thumbs up Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

Like 'Slide i'd buy 2 - I disagree that there would not be enough schemes to justify the manufacture of this great aircraft; there are numerous nose art options & was it only operated in overall black schemes or were there other colours?

Take it out and play with it

Thumbs up Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

I voted yes. But I want it in 1:48 scale. If not Hobby Master, then The Franklin Mint.

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

A good question might be, "What would we pay for one?".

In 1/48, this would likely be a $80+ model minimum. I might be willing to pay more than that but I would think $100 might be tops.

....just thinking of the Corgi JU-88 and PBJ as a reference point as the size would be similar

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.
