Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

The P61 is a must have for my collection. No Pacifc warbird collection could even be complete without her

Also JP, I love the livery you posted. Do you know her history??

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

YES - I would be in for two - one OD and one Jet Black!

Funny, how HM seems to think that there is no market for the P-61 and yet puts out more obscure planes like the F2A and the F3F. Planes no one really asked for but are (or will be) sucesses. I think that the P-61 would find a place in the collection of every serious collector - it saw service in WWII, it saw combat, and it looks awsome! Come on HM, make it happen!

Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

There are plenty of varied and optional liveries. The argument that there aren't enough to justify producing a P-61 doesn't fly with me, either. How many molds do we see on the market with the same old camoflauge scheme from model to model? Heck, Corgi did at least seven 1:32 Spits! HM has already done four Spits! All of these only have small variations in unit markings or colorings. (OK, the HM Spits have fuselage and wing variants... but the camo is the same). There are lots of P-61s that could be done: OD with invasion stripes, OD w/o invasion stripes, black, varied nose art, varied units, weathered, non-weathered, etc. Heck, it only takes a little imagination and research.

I'd take one in 1/72 scale with a CBI livery.

Cool Re: P-61 Black Widow "The Last Stand " Poll

I'm game, I'll have one at least and would be open to an OD version too.

I echo Raven here. I like HobbyMaster's efforts very much even though I can't afford most of them. But to get a black and an O.D. P-61, I'd get a second job! I'd definitely buy 2!

I think could go for just one, and that would be the OD version.
