Re: Suggestions For Hobby Master's First Two Soviet Molds

Ok, guys. Here's where we stand on this poll so far. In interpreting these choices, I've counted multiple version listings, such as the Yak-3/Yak-9 as a separate vote for each plane.According to my tally, the results are as follows:

I:72nd Scale:
1) IL-2: 17 votes
2) and 3) PE-2 and LA5FN : 7 votes each
4) Mig-15: 4 votes
5) and 6) Yak-3 and Mig-25: 3 votes each
7),8), 9) and 10) I-16, Lagg-3, Yak-9and SU-24: 2 votes each.

1:48th Scale:
1) I-16: 7 votes
2) I-153: 3 votes
3), 4) and 5) LA-7, Yak-9, Mig-3: 2 votes each

So far, the results clearly favor the IL-2---mostly in two-seater form- --the LA5FN, PE-2 and I-16, although in the latter case I wonder how many would buy this plane in 1:72nd scale.

Re: Suggestions For Hobby Master's First Two Soviet Molds

I personally prefer the 1/48 scale for the detail though the 1/72 does allow for more room for the collection. My collection is made up of 1/48 Hope they do these Soviet aircraft ither than Yat Mings effort at the Mig 3 in winter camo no one else does anything. I was able to interview one soviet vet who crewed in an IL-4 but not much hope of seeing that one in diecast

Yak 3 or 9

IL 2 or 10

LA 5 or 7
