Your #1 pick for Cold War Trainers

So far the choices have been combat aircraft, how about some trainers?
1. Any Cold War Trainers, current models may not be correct variant, scale or possible quality issue with current models available.
2. Since looking for diecast picks, try to stick with scales 1/72nd, 1/48th and 1/32nd.
3. Yep, one plane and one plane only, no lists.

My number one pick would be between the T-33 Shooting Star and the T-28 Trojan,,,, have to go with the T-28 (Again with the homely looking plane) model in 1/72th scale. Ok so what would your choice be?

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Your #1 pick for Cold War Trainers

My first choice is the T-38 Talon - lots of scheme can be made: T-Bird, Red Flag Aggressor, Beale AF "black birds", NASA chase planes, and of course the famous white paintjob that
produced numerous Air Force fighter pilots!

Should, first T-38 prototype took to the air on April 10th 1959, of course they didn't have that real purdy paint job

That is the way I like to see them painted. I am not in to some of the subdued paint schemes I saw them in the last few years I was on active duty. The Aggresor paint scheme did look pretty cool on these though.

Re: Your #1 pick for Cold War Trainers

My first thought was the T38 Talon no question. Other than that the Aemacchi MB326 would be a good shout seeing service the world over.
