| #1 Pick Cold War Weekly Summary The Cold War #1 Pick polls have received quite a few votes and looks like we may have a majority of the picks in (Except for Helicoptes and the Recce Polls started today). I really enjoy doing these polls and seeing the different aircraft forum have as their favorites. The WWII polls were fun and so far the Cold War Polls have been no let down. Maybe we can see some of these first picks actually get made. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: #1 Pick Cold War Weekly Summary I think this survey are a good idea and, hopefully, will be read by the manufacturers. However, keep in mind we are talking about 1/72 scale models, so Vulcans, B-47s Orions etc would be rather large and expensive to produce. One wonders why, except for Corgi, no other company has attempted models of this size and there has been no indication that this situation might change in the future. Whether the market will bear producing say 1,000 Orions or similar sized aircraft in today's economic environment is a moot point.Though the above is a gloomy comment, I'm hopeful that somebody will step up and compete with Corgi as no collection is complete without the "heavies". | |||||||||||||
