Re: F-4J Blue Angle Preview

Will there be matching blue drop tanks? Both the A-4 and F-4 were often seen with drop tanks for cross-country flights.

All the photos I've found show the tailcone as bare metal like the rest of the rear fuselage, not blue. But I don't know what year/reference you're working from.

Nice review and another fine looking model.

Re: F-4J Blue Angle Preview

William,

You guys are killing me! After seeing this preview I went ahead and pre-ordered the three Phantoms and added the Blue Angels Skyhawk and Hellcat as well. So much for cutting back on my diecast purchases. I guess now I'm glad Corgi is so far behind on their releases.

Re: F-4J Blue Angle Preview

Hawk now his his own photos. Looks really good, I wasn't too sure about it but now I'm keeping my pre-order. Tailcone is still blue. Hopefully that'll be corrected, if not, it's not a deal breaker to me because a little silver paint can easily fix it. I also hope they remember to change the Skyhawk stencil to Phantom. THAT would be a deal breaker.

Re: F-4J Blue Angle Preview

That looks way better the the Corgi Phantom....
Are these the retail pictures or still the Pre Pros ?
Still feel sorry for the guy in the back seat.

Should there even be a guy in the back seat?

Hi,

You are right that there is no guy sitting in the back seat for the Blue Angels (as informed by Historic Aviation).

Re: F-4J Blue Angle Preview

William - should the tail cone be painted blue and if not, will it be corrected?
