Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War fighter & Bomber

Last edited by admin : 05-19-2008 at 07:54 PM.
Time for another Poll! A while back we did one covering WWII aircraft, so how about one for the Cold War aircraft? Putting it in the HM section, because,,, well it seems like we have been getting some good results here with are suggestions. So here we go again! (Yep will do other categories too.)

So far threads have been rack and stack lists of what member's favorite type diecast aircraft in various scales might be. It made me wonder what it would look like it you where limited to one plane and one plane only as a choice. Choice guidelines are based on the following:
1. Any Twin engine Cold War fighter, current models may not be correct variant, scale or possible quality issue with current models available.
2. Since looking for diecast picks, try to stick with scales 1/72nd, 1/48th and 1/32nd.
3. Yep, one plane and one plane only, no lists.

My number one pick would be the Mig 19 (Right category this time) and in 1/72th scale. This is one that has a seen action and has broad variety of paint schemes . Ok so what would your choice be?

Will go with fighters first and then follow up with bombers and attack aircraft. If anyone has any suggestions. please pass them on.

SORRY FELLAS, I ACCIDENTALLY MERGED THESE TWO THREADS. - ADMIN

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Very close race between the F-101 Voodoo, MiG-19, and F2H Banshee in my book. I'll go with the F-101.

Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War fighter

Noon Cold War Twin Engine Fighter bean count. Currently we have 5 votes spread over 4 different aircraft.( F-101 Voodoo has a 1 point lead.)

1. Chance-Vought Cutlass ? 1 vote
2. F-101 Voodoo 1/72 2 votes
3. Mig 19 1/72 1 vote
4. SU 15 Flagon ? 1 vote

For ease in making up tally, please just indicate the plane you are voting for. (Only one aircraft type per forum member)

If you find any mistakes, please pass them on.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Getting more difficult now. Is this a test? Which to choose? Which to choose?
