Which would be your first choice?

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

That's a tough one CC but it'd have to be the Aardvark b/c of the choice of liveries (USAD SEACamo/low viz/Australian/etc.) & variants (F/B, EW) as well as the swing wing feature in diecast!

Unhappy Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War Bomber

I'll vote for that too ZS !! Very intimidating looks !! If only it rolls out of the production line........The epitome of aviation. What a shame they shouldn't have cancelled it !!.Do they still fly it for experimental purposes ?

No they don't fly it. I've seen in in museums and it is an awesoem aircraft. Thanks to politians we never got to see it operational and the aircraft that was supposed to be the answer, the F111, didn't get adopted by the Brits either.

An interesting quote from Sir Sydney Camm - "All modern aircraft have four dimensions: span, length, height and politics. TSR-2 simply got the first three right."

Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War fighter

Although I dont collect jets, I do like the early fifties stuff.

Banshee or Cutlass?

Hm are going to do the Gloster Javelin (perhaps) so thats a good one to have.

OK after much thinking, the Cutlass, mostly because I think it looks great.

God Bless America.
