Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War fighter

Getting more difficult now. Is this a test? Which to choose? Which to choose?

That's the fun part of an open poll, folks come out with some pretty neat choices.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Have to dig out some of my 1950s and 1960s aircraft recognition manuals.

Thumbs up Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War fighter

Yes, Mig-19. This aircraft participated in many conflicts with different countries and so many paint schemes.

Oops, forgot to add "1/72nd scale" to the F-101 choice.

Noon count adjust to reflect 1/72nd.

Yes, it was a hard choice between the F-101, the Banshee, and the MiG-19. Celtic later mentioned the Cutlass, which would have been my next choice. Since I can only pick one, I went with the Voodoo.

In that case must have been Skunky or Planenuts or Tank Nut that hated the Voodoo, my apologies, thought it was you.

No problem. For the record, I think it was TopHat who said the Voodoo looked like a "pregnant puddlejumper"...
