Afternoon Cold War Twin Engine Bomber bean count. Currently we have 19 votes spread over 10 different aircraft.( F-111 has a 2 point lead.)

Did take a look and found something interesting on the F-89 It looks like the F-89 was configured in 1956 to carry the Douglas MB-1 Genie unguided, nuclear tipped air to air rocket. Now thats something to knock bombers down with.

Yeah, I'm trying to find my sources that talked about firing the Genie from the F-104. Apparently the experiment was successful, but the Genie never armed the F-104 in operational service.

Oops! Sorry about throwing the F-89 into the bomber catagory. Made the mistake of thinking it dropped bombs as well as air to air stuff.

Oops! Sorry about throwing the F-89 into the bomber catagory. Made the mistake of thinking it dropped bombs as well as air to air stuff.

Still can pick another, and have a few other categories that could still use a few more votes.

I'll go for the Foxbat as well, one super impressive piece of kit. One of my very first decent books on combat aircraft, The Great Book of Modern Warplanes, had an impressive scention on Soviet warbirds, and I love 'em all!

gotta go with the F-111 in 1/72 scale would like it to be able to convert into an EF-111A Raven.
