Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War Bomber

"Nick the New Guy" to this forum but wanted to throw the F-89 into the mix. Always thought it was a nasty looking beast and would make a unique addition in 1/72

Welcome to the forum, lots of useful information here.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War Bomber

Thanks for the welcome aboard! I have several questions but will take the time to search the boards before I post a question that may have already been answered. Again, glad to be in the mix and very cool to see all the great idea's for possible future diecast releases!!

Re: Your #1 pick for Twin engine Cold War fighter

sorry, I should have labelled those pics above, they're of a MiG-31, which IIRC was the first fighter
with a phased array radar!

go ahead and put me down for the MiG-25, though, it's probably a better choice for diecast since there
were much wider foreign sales and could also be offered as a recon version...

Sorry for the missed ID, just let me know if you might want it corrected to what you intended.

Good evening Cruv,

Not to be a nit-picker, but shouldn't the vote for the F-89 be moved to the twin-engine fighter poll? I don't think it was ever used as a bomber...

I agree, but try to keep neutral and just post them as they are requested. Probably should shift it over to the other category (Better chance it will do well there). Did take a look and found something interesting on the F-89 It looks like the F-89 was configured in 1956 to carry the Douglas MB-1 Genie unguided, nuclear tipped air to air rocket. Now thats something to knock bombers down with.
