Re: T-6 South Africa Preview

I saw this one and another T-6 at our local museums grand opening a couple weeks back. Nothing like the sound of a radial engine (Well except maybe a Merlin inline or Allison inline). There was also a T-28 visiting too.

Cool. Cruver, if you ever make it to Virginia Beach, you've got to check this place out:
Virginia Beach Airport

It's a neat place. Most of the airplanes are either in flying condition or will soon be restored to flying condition. And, they fly from a grass strip!

Re: T-6 South Africa Preview

Here is another one. Has Canadian connection also as one of the first aircraft in the CHW flying museum.

Neat paint scheme on this one. Is this example still at the museum?

Re: T-6 South Africa Preview

Really looking forward to this bird. A similar scheme flew into the Vidalia Airshow a few weekends back. I hope HM keep's the T-6s coming! Plenty more to do!

Re: T-6 South Africa Preview

These Texans are great models...probably not very romantic, but most collectable, nonetheless. This is my first one, the USAAF Luke Field version (I used the HM US WWII pilots in both seats of the trainer):

Smile Re: T-6 South Africa Preview

I haven't got a T-6 yet. Since I collect 1:48 scale, I'll probably get one from Eagle Intl. The blue one that's supposed to come out soon looks pretty cool.
