Re: Devastating Devastators!

How about George Gay's? That would be a neat one to have. (I am correct that he was in a Devastator, right?)

Re: Devastating Devastators!

I would not mind having a Devastor set up as a level bomber too. Neat to compare with the Kate level bomber variant.

Re: Devastating Devastators!

Thanks for posting the profile Cruves! We really NEED this aircraft. You are so right about it complimenting the Kate! I can't wait to see what William says.

This one has some good history to it, and would be a shame not to see it get made. If enough folks chime in on this one, maybe the folks at HM will see there is some serious interest for this aircraft.

Re: Devastating Devastators!

I think there is a plastic 1/72 scale kit made by Valom of the Devastator if that helps HM. The only other one in this scale that I know of was made by MPC many years ago and it was not very good.

The only two I could find that put out the Devastor is NAVAIR USA and as you suggested Valom. I think Airfix might have had a Devastor at one time too. Valom is kind of neat in that they have both torpedo bomber and level bomber versions.

Re: Devastating Devastators!

HobbyMaster is the only company I can see doing a TBD. But we will have to buy a lot of SB2Cs and Kates before it will happen. Plus, I think the Val should be first.

Cruves, I think the Navair one may be the same mold as the old Airfix is of the old MPC one but I might have that wrong.

Think Navair has option for folding wing, any help in comparing to the old Airfix kit. Only Devastor I have ever made was in 1/48th scale.
