| What about blast pens for our Vietnam Era jets HM? With all these new Vietnam era jets inbound, I've been contemplating how I would like to display them. In the books I have US jets are often seen in blast pens. Anybody thought of displaying their jets in one of these? Dragon is doing heaps of dios and while I'm admittedly not big into dios, mainly because I can't make them myself, what if HM does them for us like Dragon? While I normally display my planes in flight mode these F4s just make me re-think that position. What do you guys think? I've included a couple of other pics I found too. Some of you may be interested in a two set F100 and RF/F101. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: What about blast pens for our Vietnam Era jets HM? yep i like them, infact i think im gonna try and make one myself next week, i'll post pics of course, in the mean time if HM build them i'll buy them, anything that helps to make a decent realistic display will always be welcomed in my eyes, even if i didnt personally like it i would still think that the more stuff available the better it is for my fellow collectors and the hobby as a whole | ||||||||||||||

They are available at hobby shops. Look for the brand "Plastruc" (sp?) and there is another plastic company that sells pre-molded stuff like those. I was just browsing at the Hobby Town USA yesterday in my AO and saw these so they're available.

| Re: What about blast pens for our Vietnam Era jets HM? I have voted for yes as I have already mentioned this idea to William at Hobbymaster. As to a resin model Verlinden did do a 1/48 section a few years ago but it is no longer in production. I agree that Plastuc do the component parts to make one of these but not to 1/72 scale and if the price of these parts is anything like they are in the | ||||||||||||||

Interesting. The first thing I will do is to look for a Plastuc kit to take a close look.

| William, I do don't know how you do it, accomodating so many varied requests. Very much appreciated. I just hope more members would vote to give a fair view of whether it would be worth your while. There is a similar poll on the DAF site under the HM F4 thread. | ||||||||||||||

Like the photo of the camo F-101 Voodoo, neat looking Caribou too.

| Re: What about blast pens for our Vietnam Era jets HM? That would be a nice accessory to have! Doesn't look too difficult to build one either. | ||||||||||||||
