I have been working on an idea for these a while now, also after a trip to Hobby town. Plastruct makes Corrugated Siding in several scales. The larger scales would look appropriate for 1/72nd. I have collected the pics posted as well as a few others. It appears there was just concrete between them. So you could sandwich a piece of thin foam between 2 sheets, use a Verlinden tarmac with some HO accessories such a photo eteched man hole covers and have a pretty decent looking diorama.

William, I do don't know how you do it, accomodating so many varied requests. Very much appreciated. I just hope more members would vote to give a fair view of whether it would be worth your while. There is a similar poll on the DAF site under the HM F4 thread.

Hi,

The best thng will be there is finished prototype that we can use though. If any member has found such an item it will be best.

I'm surprised that the Brits seem more open to this idea the you guys (seeing as the majority of members here are surely American). I would have thought that more people would have wanted these for their displays. Initially I wasn't sure whether it was a good idea but I reckon the more I check out the pics the more it appeals to me for display, especially for the Ritchie F4 and other Vietnam F4s surely due out in the future.

No offense, it just doesn't do anything at all for me. I guess I really have no interest in dioramas anyway, it's just window dressing for the airframe IMHO.

Kind of like dioramas, but problem is that they gobble up to much shelf space.
