That is good news to here. Nice to see they are providing the canopies to for the earlier release models.

There is a color profile of Bf 110G4 (3C+LB) on page 76 of Messerschmitt B 110G - Walk Around, Squadron/signal publications Walk Around Number 24. The plane belongs to Stab I/NJG 4, and has the FUG 212 radar.

Re: Bf-110G4 "Shark Mouth"

Found this photo of a Bf 110 night fighter with shark mouth, I wonder if it might be the same aircraft. This one also has a FuF227 Flensburg radar aerial on the starboard wing tip.

Re: Bf-110G4 "Shark Mouth"

Great news. Now there are three more Bf 110s that I absolutely must have Especially the shark mouth... no small wonder they're releasing so many considering how long it is taking Corgi to release their first Bf 110C. I would take advantage of the situation too!

The canopies are a welcome improvement too.

This is definitely great news! A shark-mouth Bf-110 and correct canopies for the first three releases! HM is definitely making waves!

Re: Bf-110G4 "Shark Mouth"

Okay. I've heard that HM is replacing canopies for the first three Bf-110s, but somehow in all the hubbub, I missed exactly why. Could someone please give me the lowdown on exactly what was wrong with the original canopies.

Were they just built wrong? Are they earlier model versions when they should be later model versions? What?

Thanks.

Hi Sky. The major complaint about the canopy is that the framing is too thick for 1/72 scale. Correcting it would definitely improve the looks of an already excellent model.
