Re: Next 1/48 from Hobbymaster?

I have voted for the Ki-44, but like Cruver Collecter the Curtis H75/P36 is really the first type I am after...

In the biplane category, the I-153 mentionned by Sergey (far more historically important a plane than the F3F !) would be great.

As an alternative however, I think the very last US biplane combat aircraft, the Curtis SBC Helldiver, would make a spectacular model.

Commercially it wouldn't be more risky a choice than the F3F, and unlike that one, the SBC at least didn't leave the front line before 1942 !

The I-153 would be an excellent choice, and even more so if the folks at HM put out the I-16. The I-153 has a unique biplane look with its gull wing and another odd feature for a biplane, retractable landing gear.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

The Fw190-A would be my choice as long as it had a decent pilot figure & no sliding canopy

Thumbs up Re: Next 1/48 from Hobbymaster?

Ki-44 or Yak 9, since no one else makes them in 1:48.

Re: Next 1/48 from Hobbymaster?

I voted for the Ki-44 since no company has ever produced this in diecast. My second choice is a Yak-9 because of the endless variants that can be produced here (ground attack, long range escort, reconaissance, etc). I also agree with Cruver Collecter in that the Macchi MC 202 should be produced and also a La-7, because many top scoring aces of the VVS flew this bird.

Looking forward to annoying the 'former' Florida Diecast Forum members!!

Re: Next 1/48 from Hobbymaster?

I approach this poll as I do all others, can the manufacturer make big $ and therefore continue as well as make me happy? Late Bf109 series fills the bill for me! Also want to see HM follow up on their Polikarpov I-16 plans....cute little bugger& historically very significant, would look nice in Chinese markings up against a Japanese "Nate",if someone would care to do it also!

My distributors may blame me for disclosing information too early. But my personal favorite is the I-16.

I-16!!! I-15!!!! and I-153!!! My favourite planes of all time.
With a pilot.
Nothing looks more empty than a pilotless I-16.

I love Polikarpov

I-16, could see buying quite a few of them. I like the I-16 like I like the Buffalo, and I have all the Buffalos that a currently out (Plus one on pre order). The I-16 would definitely get my vote, lots of neat paint schemes too.

I-15 and I-153 would be some great picks too. I really think the I-153 is a one of the better looking biplanes fighters of WWII.

Hey Cruves, did you get this very heavy hint?

William, I bet Cruver Collector would buy every I-16 you may produce... Just guessing...
