Re: Hobby Master's second 1/32nd scale release

How about something a little bit different, say like a ME 410. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing a BF 110 in 1/32nd scale, just be neat to see something that has yet to be made. Me 410 has a cooler looking tail armament too.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

410 would be good, but they were not used too significantly in the war. That and not too many 110s have been made thus far in the realm of diecast models, still making it a very desirable and relatively new model in our arena of collecting. If we were to go all out in would be a different, yet desirable 1/32 scale model, the Arado Ar-234 would be a tremondous model, as would any of the Horten flying wings (especially the version they actually built that the Smithsonian has locked away at their Garber facility.

The Arado 234 would make for an interesting 1/32nd scale model. It would also be a fairly reasonably sized model. Looking at a wing span of 17.34 inches and a fuselage length of 15.53 inches.

The only prob with these is lack of liveries.. That is the main problem with obscure planes is lack of operating liveries and if HM or anyone else just made them up, then we probably wouldn't buy them.

You know, this “obscure planes” suggestion could lead to a whole new thread. As in, would you purchase diecast models of the Horton or other German experimental planes that never went operational? Would “dreamed up” liveries and camouflage schemes excite you – or turn you off?

Interesting questions.

F4U Corsair.....Would be the best move if not that.... Even a F6F Hellcat would be nice.

I think that it would be possible to come up with three to four liveries for this one. Aircraft like this plus the Me 163 & He 162 would definitely fill some gaps in WWII aviation history. I think it is safe to say you probably could even come up with three to four liveries for the He 162.

Re: Hobby Master's second 1/32nd scale release

Wouldn't it be a hoot if HM released a 1/32nd Val from the Hiryu in the Battle of Midway? This would be dimetrically opposed to the Midway Dauntless they just released!!

Looking forward to annoying the 'former' Florida Diecast Forum members!!

Re: Hobby Master's second 1/32nd scale release

My votes would be for the following:

F4U
P-47D (bubbletop)
Hawker Typhoon or Tempest
P-38

I know these are not out of the ordinary but they should sell well and provide HM some revenue for their efforts. I think that a 1/32 Corsair is long over due...
