Personally, no I do not share this view. (I do however share the wish for more funds )

Few of us can "have it all" due to money, space, or spousal constraints so we're forced to be selective. That said, HM I feel is also coming out with a lot right now to establish the brand as a top tier player in the space -- while most of the giants, aside I suppose from Franklin Mint, are a bit... dormant. (CW is making some noise, too...)

Once they have a portfolio of molds/scales that establishes them as one of the top makers, I think they will slow a bit, as this has tended to be the MO for most other companies.

I do wish HM would cater more to the "collector" with more limited runs and certs with most of, if not all of, their releases but at least they've shown some movement here, as well. (I would still like to see a higher quality cardboard used for the packaging though.)

I have to agree with PappyB, with whom I share a nickname as well. With virtually every diecast marketer folding, or having production "problems", I hope that Hobby Master turns out as many planes as the market can absorb. Since I prefer the 1:72nd scale, HM's inclination to do a variety of scales limits my buys anyway and, frankly, I'm getting impatient waiting for Kates, Vals, Il-2s MC-202s, etc. So long as HM gives us new products, like the Kate, I say keep 'em coming.

I agree with Pappy on this as well.........
As for the funds part....Get a 2nd Job is what my wife would tell me....

The more the merrier. This way 1/72, 1/48, WWII, Cold War, and modern collectors can take their pick. I for one have a target area, and stick mostly there. However, it is nice to branch out occasionally when HM produces something especially irresistable...By not ordering out of my target scale, I save some dough, and can look forward to something else just as desirable coming out soon...

...also agree with pappy, especially that last paragraph...

Not fast enough with 1:48 and 1:32. At current production rate, HM is averaging a new 1:48 mold every 5 months. That is only approx. 2 per year. We may only get one 1:32 mold per year.

Higher quality cardboard has been our consideration for a long time. It may be wise to use to use stronger carboard for larger aircrafts like the A-10, F-4, etc. As you know, it is still the price problem. A stronger carboard is much more expensive but HM will give a good thought on this.

How about a different approach. Instead of plastic shells how about using styrofoam ones? This will allow cardboard to stay "thin". AeroArt did it with its 1:72 Mustangs, and it's pretty much the norm with 1:18 scale car models nowadays.
