Ta-dah!

William PMed me today that HM are planning to do an F-4F "Mölders" (JG 74).

What I would like to know now is which livery it shall have... I have sent him pictures and the scheme for the actual Norm 90J livery and told him that they shall NOT do any SPECIAL / ANNIVERSARY SCHEME.

Re: Pics: HM Phantom "Ritchie" HA1901

Can you share what that would look like Muesingman? And I suspect eventually they will do a Special / Anniversary one. Some folks are into that. But I agree, lets have a regular service model first.

Re: Pics: HM Phantom "Ritchie" HA1901

Here is the low visibility scheme..
but i like the green camo scheme better.
I started this thread for the JG-74 Phantom since it was in the Ritchie thread.
Have fun with it.

Thank You Starman, exactly this is what it should look like, left to my own devices. But I would also accept one in Norm 81b (view below). I wouldn´t prefer the green / dark grey one, can´t give a rational explanation for that.

This is a better look than the baby blue one. But I'd like to see the grey / green one as well.

Re: F-4F "Mölders" (JG 74)

William e-mailed my today, telling me that it will be exactly the plane shown in Starman´s reply.

By the way - the pic is the same as on the Hasegawa Kit - so I think we can easily guess now from which plastic kit mold this one will be copied...

Mostly we do need something to copy from. Otherwise, we may need to wait for years to have a model done.

William, my post was not meant to be sarcastic or as an offence - no, I am quite happy with this and since the Hasegawa F-4´s are well-known to belong to the best plastic kits, HM are only doing the right thing when copying it !!

So, what other birds can be done with this mold? US, IAF, ??

That depents on wether the outer wings´ leading edges are interchangeable on the mold, since the slats applied on F-4Fs are the only distinction from other long-nosed versions afaik (regarding just the shape, of course).

Some USAF F-4E had the slats also, but not all of them - HM will have to do a good research job here. I am not sure about the IAF or JASDF planes - can someone here tell, did they have the slats also? If yes, it should be no problem to do them with the same mold.
