With Vicon pod!!!! I wish there was a way to display it in flight with the pod. Well, if the stand will not allow it I can hang it using fishing lines.

Re: New RCAF Starfighter: the inside story:

Note to other manufacturers, follow this thread to find out how HM has taken so much of the market in such a short time. They produce very good models at reasonable prices and deliver roughly when they say they will. Amazingly they are able to accomplish this and still have the respect to listen to their customers wishes. HM has my loyalty and as long as their policies don't change they will keep it. Thank you

Re: New RCAF Starfighter: the inside story:

Hi Guys,

I am sorry that for some reason that the vicon pod will not be included for the CF-104 (but a pilot will).

This is due to the fact that for many F-104 already produced, the life cycle of the F-104 is near the end and our management decided not to invest in another tooling.

I am terribly sorry for this.

This is too bad, but understandable. Maybe someone will do, or has done, an aftermarket resin Vicon pod. I am still looking forward to this airplane, with or without the pod.

So, will this Starfighter be available outside of Canada for us Yanks?... or will we have to order it from a Canadian retailer to be sure of getting one?

In fact, I have second thought about this vicon pod. It looks super-cool on the F-104.

But adding this pcs not only entails additional tooling but a change of tooling of the fuselage to accomodate this.

The process of adding this little pcs take more than 20 days alone. The change of fuselage is another big job.

Please allow me to give a more defnite answer tomorrow.

I so want this Starfighter. I saw them at airshows at Malmstrom AFB in the sixties. Also saw F-5's from Cold Lake at later airshows. I remember the Vikings. I think they had a viking ship painted on their tails.

Too bad the 104 is near it's run,So many country's left to do Norway,Denmark and Turkey to name a few. I'd still like to see a camo Canadian 104. I can understand not doing anymore in able to release new metal but maybe next year they could give us a few more.

Go for it William!

I'd pay extra for it!
