By the way I found a picture of #701 and #702 together showing the red on the intakes (Black & White pic). I believe the red colour was just for increased visibility for the Operational Training Role.

Yeah I also have a colour pic of the first 5 in flight showing 702 as described and carrying the red tip tanks.

Remember Hobby Master - THE CF-104 NEVER FLEW WITH SIDEWINDER MISSILES so please do not include them with this particular model!

In fact the Sidewinder entered Canadian service with the RCN on their Banshee jet fighters and when these were retired in 1962 the Sidewinder did not re-enter Canadian service
until the CF-18 Hornet appeared in 1982.

Having said that, i would hav prefered it just painted silver. I wasn't overly blown away with the Chrome Japanese one.

Have to admit i prefer the original Japan exclusive version painted silver.

Just my view.

No problems here have a couple of good Recce Pods for kits and one will be craftily attached to my CF-104...and fixed with silicon.
