Re: Japanese WWII planes

Well, from the number of members responding to the threads posted on " Kates ", it is one plane we all are waiting with anticipation !! I do hope collectors support the release of "Kate" so that maybe perhaps HM would consider maiking these rare planes. My wish lists are the Floatplanes; Boatplanes and the Bombers and Night Fighters.

I would like to see some float planes and flying boats being produced. There are some pretty neat Japanese night fighters I would not mind adding to my collection as well. I am hoping that we might see some of these good looking and historically significant aircraft in the future. I wonder if any of the forum members have seen Stan Stokes "An Interesting Dogfight". Print is of one of he larger dogfights that occurred during WWII. Not large by the number of aircraft involved, but in the size of its combatants. Print is of a Boeing B-17 and a Kawanishi H6K Mavis exchanging broadsides so to speak.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Japanese WWII planes

A "Val" is naturally something that follows the Kate. I also like the Tony myself.

Kate is a rather risky test for us and it will not sell as well as an SBD or Helldiver. So please give more support on the Kate so we can see the Val and other Japnese WWII flying in the future.

Thank you very much.
William

I'll be supporting the Kate, alright! And I'm glad the Val is next in the line-up. I like the Tony too. How about the the Ki-43 Hayabusa or Ki-84 Hayate? I know it's a long-shot, but I'd like to see the J7W Shinden too...

Re: Japanese WWII planes

Yes I agree! come on Hobby Master, we need more Japanese planes (in 1/72 of course)!!!

Yes we do for sure! Since I have about 8 Hellcats, I need more "kills" since the Hellcats had the best kill-ratio in world history!

Re: Japanese WWII planes

Here's what the Pearl Val looked like after the battle. Very interesting pic, note the odd marks to the right of the deployed floatation bag. Also, check the color of the backside of the props, looks like dark paint. And the overall color---- check Lanslide's icon.

That plane has a nice big wing span to it.

Re: Japanese WWII planes

There is probably more of a market in the USA for Japanese planes. HM seems to have a Pacific War focus, which is good as Corgi is definitely European focused. The DAF guys don't seem to excited by the Kate, and only perked up to the P-39 when it sported roundels.

That said, any of these for me please.

Love the twin. Japanese twins were by and large beautiful designs. The Dinah is considered one of the cleanest operational designs of the war. (Picture from Wings Palette.)

The Japanese did make some nice twin engine fighters. The Ki.45 Nick and the J1N1 Irving are two more really good looking aircraft. The Nick also had some pretty interesting paint schemes.

I agree with you Celtic the Twins and even the singles has beautiful designs.Well Guys i think its about time someone makes these planes. The Mitsubishi Ki83 is one sleek plane, its one of my fav.
Well guys , i think its about time HM makes these planes.DW and Witty has been doing the "same" planes, IXO has some issues with their quality. Come HM give us Betty, Dinah, Frances, Sally, Nell, Jake, Grace and Sonia. I'll buy em ALL !!!
