Actually, I think it is a bargain. It is much lower than EI or C1 products... and, if you bought the Accurate Miniatures kit, you would pay this much if not more by the time you built it. Given the price of HM's 1:48 Panther, I expected this model to be priced higher than it is. I would say it is a good surprise.

Thought it might run a bit higher being a biplane, kind of think it is a nice surprise too.

Especially with full rigging. And, if the model features up/down options with the gear, and a positionable canopy, this one will definitely be a more complicated model than, for example, a Corgi 1:48 biplane (which retails for 39.99). Also larger. Yeah... I have no problem with the retail price at all.

Re: F3F "Pussycat"

I was discussing this with my dealer of choice earlier today (Big Guns) and also used the Corgi 1/48 bi-plane analogy and he helped me also see the light considering it's relative size and complexity. I will pay the price for such a unique and colorful subject. I do not think I will get both types though. Something about the big radial version turns me on.....

Re: F3F "Pussycat"

I consider it expensive compared to corgi's biplanes such as the Albatros which I assume will be well made. At this price I will buy one F3F but could not afford more.

US$55 at the Mule. I'm sure this is a great model, but just too steep. A point for 1/72.
