Re: F3F "Pussycat"

That one is going to make for a colorful model. Between their F3F-1 and F3F-2s, will end up with a pretty impressive prewar collection.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: F3F "Pussycat"

Hi,

Some quick view of the F3F-1 before production.

The real thing is better than the photos I think. The bombs are mustard color instead of Olive Drab.

My Spanish friend has recommended a method to eliminate the screws (not the fuselage but under the upper main wing) but it is too difficult for production.

Please take a look.

William

Re: F3F "Pussycat"

Hi William a great model but two questions-will the struts in place where they blind in with the upper wings be painted yellow and if you cannot remove the screws will they be flush with the wing or will they stand out as in pictures.

Very nice, William. I'll have to get myself one of these eventually!

Yes, this is the first. Grumman F3F-1 USN VF-3, USS Saratoga, 1940 HA7301.

The second livery will be Grumman F3F-2 VMF-2, Oct 1940 US Marines HA7302. There is a profile at the hobbymastercolletor website.

The screws will look like what you see in the picture.

I can live with that.

Re: F3F "Pussycat"

Wow,looks just great William! I will be ordering one of these to be sure. Just imagine how great a Hobby Master 1/48 I-16 would look sitting next to it in the display case.
