Re: some previews

The F3F looks great, and I think it will make for a nice new addition. Hope this means there is a chance of an Polikarpov I-153 or maybe a Fiat CR 42 or CR 32 in the future. I am also still holding out hope for the I-16. I could see myself buying a whole bunch of them (I like it as much as the Buffalo, have all of them.).

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: some previews

Yes, Yes, Yes!

Thanks, William! Thanks, Hobby Master! I built the Accurate Miniatures kit sometime back. This is a beautiful little aircraft and 1:48 will be a terrific scale for it. I am so excited to see the next 1:48 scale model announced. I have been dyin' to know! The mock up looks terrific. I hope this is a huge seller for HM; which would hopefully mean more "between wars" bi-planes: P-1, P-6, P-12, P-26.

Re: some previews

No, they may use some plastic for parts just like everyone else does. And they may have used a plastic kit as a master or reference if you will for some of their models.

Hi,

The white parts are metal and and the grey parts are plasitc. You can see the distribution of between the two kinds of materials from the photo.

Re: some previews

*sob* I'm sworn to stick with 1:72 for fighters -- but the F3F is one of my diecast Holy Grails.

I've resisted HM's excellent F2 Buffalo, but I don't know if I'll be able to pass up the F3F. Oh well, at least it's a petite airplane -- which I'm sure is the rationale behind the 1:48 scale.

Folgore, I was able to resist the F2A right up to the second I saw the F3F preview. This HobbyMaster crowd knows how to push every button I have.

Fortunately, I just got a new curio so have a shelf to devote to a select few pre-war 1/48 models.

Re: some previews

I share Fileasfog's and Sergey's surprise.

However, if this F3F is as good as the Buffalo, I don't see how I could resist buying as many (4 ! )...

I pretty sure it will match their Buffalo in quality and hope they space them out a bit for my wallets sake. Preproduction photos really looking promising, plus really like how well the rigging looks on this one.
