Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

There is a super range of schemes available. Let's get the 'radials' out before we start worrying about the 'Merlins'

Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

I would go for a desert scheme. I would not go for the IXO scheme as I have it already

I love Polikarpov

I can't remember what Gibson's Beaufighter looked like...Didn't he get 3 confirmed Kills in one ?

Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

The T-BM insignia one with D-day stripes would be the most iconic one of all IMHO, follow this with a nightfighter and then the myriad of other schemes. This was a superb aircraft and let's hope HM do it justice.

Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

Some really good looking Beaufighters have been suggested so far. The one below would not be one of those neat choices though. Kind of makes you wonder what where folks at Bristol thinking when they made this one.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

They were mad at somebody? (Great looking plane, though.)

Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

From the little I've read on it, it was a one-off and did fly some ops. Nothing came of it for whatever reason.

Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

Did it have any forward firing armament No 4? If it did then it's the RAF version of the the P-61!

Re: Hobby Master Beaufighter choices

I feel your pain Starman; I've a big space put aside for a P-61 when it comes. HM will be the people to do it I feel as they are the major player in the market at present with Corgi out of the running at the moment.
