Re: How 'bout a Val??

If they do make the Val, I hope they make both early and late version of this aircraft.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Yep, the Val definitely belongs on my wish list.

Re: How 'bout a Val??

Like the Helldiver, the Val cries out for crew members, optional rear guns and open/shut rear canopies. As for the liveries, my favorite remains the one in your first picture, Harry, which now adorns one of my Model Power ( ugh! ) Vals.

Re: How 'bout a Val??

C'mon, HM! Give us some Vals to keep the forthcoming Kates company. I'll take CI-203 in 1:72 -- snazzy red stripe and tail!

Re: How 'bout a Val??

I for one am really excited about HM doing the Kate and the Helldiver and I would be thrilled to see them do a Val as well. I think our best bet to see this plane made is HobbyMaster doing it as they seem to be the company most receptive to the wishes and needs of their customers. Frankly, unless you can put a swastika or RAF roundels on it, its unlikely you'll see planes like these from Corgi.

Re: How 'bout a Val??

The Val is essential to Japanese collection; after all it is the Nipponese Stuka

Re: How 'bout a Val??

Since the Kate is Hobby Master's first venture into Japanese aircraft I assume the Kate will be the deciding factor whether or not the Val or any other IJN aircraft are produced. It is like this for all companies and all the first releases, nobody is going to continue to produce what looks like a losing proposition. This is just my personal take on things, Hobby Master has not told me anything to confirm or deny this view point. I think it is just plain common sense and economics.

Re: How 'bout a Val??

I've got a Kate on order with the Mule. I'm hoping there's going to be large numbers of Kate's on pre-order. Then we can get a Val, a Sally and a float plane.

I've got the first two Kates on order. I hope that everyone who cares about diversity in their collections supports HM on this venture.
