Re: Helldiver 1/72 scale in the works

I found a black and white photo of this one. Even in black and white its paint scheme looks good.

Sure does look good! It wouldn't hurt to have an Army version of this one. Or the SBD for that matter.

Yep, I would like to have both the Helldiver and Dauntless Army variants. A-25 Shrike and the A-24 Banshee sound kind of cool, and would look good sitting next to their naval counterparts.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Helldiver 1/72 scale in the works

If only one "foreign" Helldiver was to be done, it would have to be a French one.

First because the French Navy had been the largest operator of the type outside the USA, and second because FN's Helldivers had been in action in Indochina most of the time.

Helldiver in French Naval markings would also make for a interesting addition to a collection.

Actually, you need to stay away from Corgi too. Predators and War Birds have empty cockpits.

And no landing gear on the War Bird models.
