So many good looking Soviet aircraft that have yet to be made. I forgot the Polikarpov I-16, I-15, I-152 and the I-153 too. Hopefully Hobby Master will do the I-16 in 1/48th scale.

Guys, you've listed just about every Soviet warbird of WW II. How about prioritizing them? If you had to pick your first three choices in rank order, what would they be?

Sounds like a poll!

OK. I'll bite. My top three Soviet WW II planes--in 1:72nd scale--- would be a LA5FN, IL-2M and PE-2 in that order.

Nice looking top three choices. Could pretty much agree, but would substitute the LaGG-3 for the IL-2M. LA5FN and PE-2 would be hard to argue with choices. The PE-2 is probably one of the nicer looking twin engine aircraft of WWII, sleek looking lines. The LA5FN, good looking and has some really great looking paint schemes. Of course I am still hopping the HM puts out the I-16 in 1/48th scale, nothing flashy, but got to have one.

Re: And the winner is...Hobby Master?

My top three (in order)

1. MiG-3
2. IL-2
3. I-16
I-153 coming in a close fourth...

But in 1:72, please! 1:48 is just too big for my leetle display space, and I'd like to keep my fighter fleet standardized at 1:72.

Nrrrm! Whoosh! Rat-tat-tat!

Nice to see that someone else likes planes like the I-153. You have good taste in aircraft.

Mine list is exactly the same, just in different order: Pe-2/3, IL-2 single seater, amd La-5FN.

For lend lease birds, my choices for red star makeover are A-20, late-model P-39 (way too many schemes still to be done), and P-40N

Regards,

Sergey
