I hope it looks something like this! Dan

Yeah, should be its stablemate 702. Worth the wait if it comes out without the droopy wing.

Re: F100d

I hope they can pull off the burnt off paint on the tail of the camo'd F-100s. I like that look, Matchbox didn't even try it with thiers.

Re: F100d

Attached is the first "test-shot sample" HM is working on.

The engine burning marks is too "solid" I think and we will try more test on this.

A lot of adjustments needed like the color of the head-rest, missing marking of the fuel tank ...

Re: F100d

That is going to be some welcomed addition to the collection. Looks great!! As for engine burn marks, it looks best on camouflaged aircraft. So don't worry.

Re: F100d

I compared pictures of the HM F-100 to various pictures of the real thing and models of F-100's in all scales over at the Hyperscale website. As to where the canopy opens, it looked right on to me. However, I cannot explain the extra middle frame in the canopy. I only found one model of a late French F-100D with this frame. Maybe it was some sort of retrofitted thing. Anyway, if it is incorrect, it is easily correctible.

By the way, this pre-production F-100D looks great. In addition to this scheme, I hope they do some of the early and colorful USAF schemes like "Triple Zilch". etc. There might even be some they could do in a "chrome" finish like the Japanese and Canadian F-104's.

Re: F100d

Thanks Bill for the early pics of the pre-pro. I am sure you guys will get the kinks worked out. I am stunned every time I turn on my computer and get news and see pics of models your company is producing. I am resolved to buy at least 2 or 3 models of each mold you are making of the F-100, F3F,Kate,SB2C and F-4. I am hoping the F-105 will be announced by years end although I am sure that is being ambitious. A couple of years back I had asked in an e-mail for the F-5 (T-38) Am I mistaken or has this model been planned in the future?

Again, thanks Bill Thanks for giving us so much to plan and save for. To date there is no other model maker that is as communicative as you. Good for you, good for us.
