hobby master stands

Like everyone else I love the Hobby Master planes. However, am I the only one that finds their stands a bit too lite or maybe less stable than the corgi ones?

Re: hobby master stands

When I open my curio door the plane wobbles, only the hobby master plane wobbles.

Re: hobby master stands

I've got a couple of Hobby Master's on stands and they have proved very stable thus far. I prefer their stands to Corgi's 1:72 stands of Dragons. (I'll admit I haven't seen any of the jets thus far so I can't speak for any changes Hobby Master may have instituted.)

I fully agree with Fileasfog on this. The HM stands are (in my opinion) only marginally better than the version/s from Dragon and are feeble in the extreme - Corgi still rules on this aspect (at least until the GeminiAces aircraft & stands are released) .

I think that it's sad when a truly great product like the Dauntless has to be let down by the 'unfinished touch' of the stand. Surely a high quality stand could be included at a limited extra cost - just imagine if a steel stand was included like those available for purchase from GeminiJets!

Re: hobby master stands

Hobby Master is reinforcing their stands to get rid of that wobble and they will start to show up in the near future models.

Re: hobby master stands

I really dislike the Corgi cradle type stands. They look ugly. The curved ali type are excellent and display the models really well. I agree that HM needs to make a better quality stand. The HM product is superb, what a shame to spoil it with cheap looking stand.: another reason why I like the curved ali coloured stand from Corgi is that I can rotate the models on their stand thus getting more models in a small space, After a tip off from some of you kind gentleman I went to IKEA and found a super display case. It now holds 30 of the little devils. ( i am sure they breed during the night). Space counts a lot when the collections grow so fast!!(

Re: hobby master stands

Maybe silly, but I'd like to see someone come out with a set of really nice, high quality stands, with a universal adapter kit.

Variable Pitch Wall Mount

These are pretty cool but they are for wood models.
