Re: A-4 Dilemma

Guys, I am getting ready to begin starting my collection of early model jets. As such, and the fact that I have to be on the look out for sales, I am really interested in the A-4. I read with great interest every ones comments about the Israeli A-4. Yet, for some reason I think I want to stick with American markings, and am leaning toward the John McCain A-4.

I did not really see any comments about the McCain version, and except for the pictures I don't really have any other feedback.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

C'mon. Make your congregation proud. Israeli A-4 is the one to get for me, but purely in terms of looks I prefer the Aussie one to the rest released so far.

Regards,

Sergey

Re: A-4 Dilemma

My problem is with A-4's that don't have the avionics hump. They look more...finished with it. The nicest paint scheme for a non-humped version is definitely the RAN one but I would need to modify it a smidge to have it equipped with Sidewinders. I really wish the Corgi Flying Mule commission A-4M would've happened.

Re: A-4 Dilemma

I have the Argentinian one and am in the process of acquiring the Top Gun and IDF ones. For me the best ones from an aestetic viewpoint are the last two I'm getting.

Re: A-4 Dilemma

I've got the Aussie, Top Gun and Isreali A-4. I love them all. Much more interesting than the other ones. Especially that McCain A-4. Tail marking is a bit too simplistic for my taste. But looking forward for the Lady Jessie. Primarily for that bomb load!

I'm thinking that HM need to get some of their ordinance in kits. That Israeli A4 is just begging for a bomb load!

Too true we need bombs, those white blobs on pylons do nothing for the model.

Re: A-4 Dilemma

The biggest problem with the A-4 is that once you get one, you will want them all. Hobby Master did a great job with these.

Joey, you could say it in French then it would sound sexy.

Re: A-4 Dilemma

I have the McCain A-4 and I'm running out of angles from which to photograph the little beauty. Thanks be to God for digital CF cards. Next up, a BA version and I hope that HM produces one in each number. That'd be awesome.
