hi!, i just got my 1st 1/72 model stuka from hobby master. incredible looking model. few questions:
1. had 2 antennas in kit, one a spare?
2. are the swastika stickers the water slide kind or just regular stickers? (bummer you even have to fool with that)
3. the stand is super flimsy!, i was shocked! can you buy a different (in flight stand), or anyone have any good tricks to
make it better? ty

Re: stuka noob ?

I'm sure you'll get some answers, wasp, but I'm afraid I have none, though, if I'm not mistaken, I believe they DO provide an exta antenna.

Re: stuka noob ?

I only have one of the Ju 87s. Have their HA0110 Ju 87 G-1 Tank Buster model. It only came with the one antenna mast and no transferrs. So I put some decals on myself and it looks just fine. Adhesive transferrs are usually a bit thicker than normal decals. Hope this might be of some help.

Re: stuka noob ?

I think some of the guys are a little bitter on the HM Stukas b/c, among other things, they have been terribly over produced. I am at least.

There is a spare antenna.
The decals are water slide.
The stands are weird and not too good but there isn't really anything else out there right now, even aftermarket.

I like my winter one fine but, then again, I might as well b/c you can barely give these Stukas away when you decide you're done with them.

I have the first one too and vividly remember when collectors were nuts about the prospect of a variety of Stuka that was different from the Corgi.

Not so thrilled a collector crowd anymore. Likely the reason for the luke warm response to your inquiry.

Welcome to the Hangar too.

Re: stuka noob ?

HM does put out a nice looking Stuka though, and Dragon puts out a fairly nice looking one too.

Aeromaster puts out a pretty nice 1/72nd scale swastika decal sheet (Also have them in 1/48th & 1/32nd scale too.).

Call Squadron and get the waterslide decals from them, or some other site. CAM decals are good too. Google to find them. Pretty easy to apply.

You'll find tips in the customize section I'm sure. Search key word Swastika or future.

Glad you like it.
