Re: Thank you Hobbymaster but

I like those - and an F-106 Delta Dart too!

Good Choice Lanslide there are so many ANG schemes out there. My favorite ones would be the Montana ANG F-106 with Big Sky Blue cockpit interior and the 318th FIG from McCord AFB WA. That would go with my Dragon F-15A.

Re: Thank you Hobbymaster but

How about GA getting that Skyraider out !!! And not that butt ugly ASW version. Then we can talk about other aircraft.

As far as I am concerned, all of the Skyraiders were "butt ugly", that is part of their charm. The ASW version is just uglier than the others. I surely would like to see a 1/72 Skyraider, preferably a USN A-1H/J. I worry about Gemini getting theirs out though. It seems they are making little progress getting it to market (the same can be said for the UK Phantoms). In fact, it looks like they may have given up on their Gemini Aces 1/72 line altogether-- I do not see anything new being announced or on the horizon.

You want me to spend the day scanning photos don't you?
I think I am going to visit a couple of my local hobby stores and spend some money instead.

As to Gemini pulling out this is not the case a lot of problems have been caused with the fact that the factory making these moved from one side of China to the other. The latest I heard was that things are now coming on tract but running many months late

Re: Thank you Hobbymaster but

That last 106 was from the 56th FIS K.I. Sawyer AFB, MI. The "Red Bulls" was thier name. I have 2 of the original shoulder patches from them. I was stationed at that base shortly after they deactivated.

Re: Thank you Hobbymaster but

There are still plenty of birds for Hobby Master, or Gemini, or Century to tackle. While I'd warmly welcome a Thudercheif, or more accurately LOTS of Thuds, as well as an F-5 and any of the Russian birds, I'm really stoked about the Super Saber. I think she is a great choice and I cannot image not getting them all.

Anything for a weird life.
