Re: New Paint Schemes From Hobbymaster

I am not so sure your right I cant see a Argentine version selling well in the UK as it will give our Harriers another target to go with the Argentine A4

I am asking myself wether an Argentine Etendard would sell in the UK if it was the one which sunk HMS Sheffield... Still, and from my point of view, it would perfectly match HM´s Argentine A-4, of course.

By the way: I do have one of Corgi´s Sea Harriers, but for some reason even I cannot explain, I do not like the FRS.1 that much. I would rather like to see an actual version (GR. 7A / GR.9). Or even better: a trainer T.10 or T.12 !

Heinkels and Junkers and whatnots made quite an effort in flattening the UK itself. You'd think that there would not be a market for models in BOB liveries, but I understand there is a market, a huge one.
Perhaps the Falklands conflict is too recent, but I would not be suprised if the market is there.

Can we try with real bullets now?

Re: New Paint Schemes From Hobbymaster

Plenty of schemes for a Super Etendard. I would go for a:
Argentine Navy
Iraqi Airforce
French Navy over Bosnia
French Navy over Afghanistan

Not into Tiger Meet but some of those look good too.

Heeey...not the only one who likes the Super Etendard. Definitely have to have the Argentine "ARMADA" stamped units and obviously your typical French liveries.

Re: New Paint Schemes From Hobbymaster

I've always loved the green camo sharkmouth A-10. Whenever I picture an A-10, its that one! I'm happy there doing an F9F, hoping eventually it'll lead to F9F-6 in one of the three possible VF-61 Jolly Roger squadron paint schemes. Slap on the skull and crossbones and it'll sell like hotcakes

I would love HM to do the Cougars as well!

Re: New Paint Schemes From Hobbymaster

I think a Jolly Roger would be a wise choice for HM to make......Jolly Rogers birds always make money....
I like the pictures on there of the VF-61 birds.

1. ?? Did not know so far that the Iraqi Air Force had Etendards?

2. Would also tend to dismiss Tiger Meet schemes. By this occasion: I think any overall special scheme which might look stunning on the original aircraft still makes a model of it look toyish, even if accurately done. If there have to be special paintings - it should just be some tailfin art e.g., not more.
