Re: Impressions of the 1/32 SBD-3...

It's simple, Jim, just get rid of some of those P-40s you've got laying about -- you've too many of 'em anyways... right?

Bite your tounge young man. You can NEVER have to many P-40's. Of course, in my book you can never have too many SBD's either.

I love my Hobby Master Dauntless. I love the fact that Hobby Master will change the bird to make it better. Corgi, to my knowledge has never changed a mould or part to fix a flaw. Neither has Dragon. No bash meant on Dragon or Corgi, but props to Hobby Master for taking charge, admitting mistakes and making corrections.

Anything for a weird life.

Dragon fixed their Super Hornet by removing the dorsal speed brake and Corgi fixed their Lancaster by correcting the angle of the main landing gear.

Pappy !!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a thing to say, how can anyone have too many P40s.

No sorry I must find another solution to this problem.

That SBD is a must have item, you know how the saying goes,

where theres a will theres a way! I just have to figure this out somehow.

Well, it's real simple, Jim. As you won't part with any of you P-40's, just send one or two of you 1:72 heavies.....say a Lancaster (you DO have one, don't you?) to me. I'll take very good care of it, and already have a nice spot in one of my glass enclosed cabinets for it. Situation solved!

Re: Impressions of the 1/32 SBD-3...

Ok dud it is not, but why should we pay that sort of money for a model that some worked on to correct then be overjoyed that the factory is giving the retailer replacement parts so we may get it and can work on the model some more. I want diecast because I can take them out of the box and display them. What about the folks with no modeling skills or who will never hear about this improvement/replacement part? How does the factory part get to those folks?

Hobby Master has sent the parts to their distributors who in turn will send them to the retailers. I would suggest you contact your retailer and ask them to send you the new part when they get them. I would assume the retailers have records for each sale.

Re: Impressions of the 1/32 SBD-3...

I contacted my retailer (AimHigherJets) and they said they were planning on sending the new propellers out to their buyers as soon as they receive them.
