Re: Poll : Next 1/48 jet

CC - it is for sure...but we REALLY NEED a Shooting Star and Thunderjet. They just seem to be more compatible in a Korean War jet collection with what has already been released. Then we can request a Banshee.

I would rather see a Silver Star. T-33 nice.

Re: Poll : Next 1/48 jet

The problem is that it's even hard to find a good F-80 in a plastic kit so it may be a long time before we see one in metal.

I am pretty flexible. Don't forget we built and flew 656 of the Silver Stars. Still some around.

Monogram's P-80 was quite good, but I would also prefer the more cosmopolitan T-33/CT-33.

RMK : The poll is deliberately limited to pre-century fighters !

It's already instructive btw : Here the F-84E/G is more popular than the Thunderstreak, but in Europe the result would certainly be inverted.
Similarly, when Americans mention the P-80, Canadians and Europeans suggest the T-33.

Re: Poll : Next 1/48 jet

Academy models puts out a 1/48th scale of the T-33 which is a pretty nice kit.

Re: Poll : Next 1/48 jet

I'd like to see a Mig-19... after watching the Supersonic Dogfight episode

Or how 'bout a Foxbat? Probably dreaming...

On this list, I guess the Fury.
